Miss my Father so much! ♥♥♥

Back when I was a child
Before life removed all the innocence
My father would lift me high
And dance with my mother and me and then

Spin me around 'til I fell asleep
Then up the stairs he would carry me
And I knew for sure, I was loved

If I could get another chance
Another walk, another dance with him
I'd play a song that would never ever end
How I'd love, love, love, to dance with my father again

When I and my mother will disagree
To get my way I would run from her to him
He'd make me laugh just to comfort me
Yeah, yeah, then finally make me do just what my mama says

Later that night when I was asleep
He left a dollar under my sheet
Never dreamed that he would be gone from me

If I could steal one final glance
One final step, one final dance with him
I'd play a song that would never ever end
'Cause I'd love, love, love, love to dance with my father again

Sometimes I'd listen outside her door
And I'd hear how my mama cried for him
I pray for her even more than me
I pray for her even more than me

I know, I'm praying for much too much
But could You send back the only man she loved
I know You don't do it usually
But dear Lord she's dying to dance with my father again
Every night I fall asleep and this is all I ever dream

I know You don't do it usually
But dear Lord she's dying to dance with my father again

Importance of having Breakfast..

Breakfast can help prevent strokes, heart attack and sudden death. Advice on not to skip breakfast!

Healthy living
For those who always skip breakfast, you should stop that habit now! You've heard many times that "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day." Now, recent research confirms that one of the worst practices you can develop may be avoiding breakfast.

Why?
Because the frequency of heart attack, sudden death, and stroke peaks between 6: 00a.m. and noon, with the highest incidence being
between 8: 00a.m. and 10:00a.m.What mechanism within the body could account for this significant jump in sudden death in the early
morning hours?

We may have an Answer.

Platelet, tiny elements in the blood that keep us from bleeding to Death if we get a cut, can clump together inside our arteries due to
cholesterol or laque buildup in the artery lining. It is in the morning hours that platelets become the most activated and tend to form these internal blood clots at the greatest frequency.

However, eating even a very light breakfast prevents the morning platelet activation that is associated with heart attacks and strokes. Studies performed at Memorial University in St.Johns, Newfoundland found that eating a light, very low-fat breakfast was critical in modifying the morning platelet activation. Subjects in the study consumed either low-fat or fat-free yogurt, orange juice, fruit, and a source of protein coming from yogurt or fat-free milk. So if you skip breakfast, it's important that you change t his practice immediately in light of this research. Develop a simple plan to eat cereal, such as oatmeal or Bran Flakes, along with six ounces of grape juice or orange juice, and perhaps a piece of fruit. This simple plan will keep your platelets from sticking together, keep blood clots from forming, and perhaps head off a potential Heart Attack or stroke.

Onion and the White socks..

A friend of mine told me a story about when he was a kid he was in the hospital & nearly dying. His grandmother came to the hospital & told a family member to go buy her a large onion & a new pair of white cotton socks. She sliced the onion open then put a slice on the bottom of each of his feet & put the white cotton socks on him. In the morning when he awoke they removed the socks. The slices of onion were black & his fever was gone. The following story that someone sent to me might have some truth in it & we are going to try it this winter.

In 1919 when the flu killed 40 million people there was this Doctor that visited the many farmers to see if he could help them combat the flu. Many of the farmers and their family had contracted it and many died.

The doctor came upon this one farmer and to his surprise, everyone was very healthy. When the doctor asked what the farmer was doing that was different the wife replied that she had placed an unpeeled onion in a dish in the rooms of the home, (probably only two rooms back then). The doctor couldn't believe it and asked if he could have one of the onions and place it under the microscope. She gave him one and when he did this, he did find the flu virus in the onion. It obviously absorbed the bacteria, therefore, keeping the family healthy.

Now, I heard this story from my hairdresser in AZ. She said that several years ago many of her employees were coming down with the flu and so were many of her customers. The next year she placed several bowls with onions around in her shop. To her surprise, none of her staff got sick. It must work.. (And no, she is not in the onion business.)

The moral of the story is, buy some onions and place them in bowls around your home. If you work at a desk, place one or two in your office or under your desk or even on top somewhere. Try it and see what happens. We did it last year and we never got the flu.

For flu cure:
cut both ends off an onion put one end on a fork and then place the forked end into an empty jar...placing the jar next to the sick patient at night. It said the onion would be black in the morning from the germs...sure enough it happened just like that...the onion was a mess and I began to feel better.

Onions and garlic placed around the room saved many from the black plague years ago. They have powerful antibacterial, antiseptic properties.

One more thing, never store cut onions and consume the next day.

Take note...don't always sleep late!!

Good rest and sound sleep is very
Important... if u don't sleep well,
The toxic in your body will accumulate..
Affecting your health and your mood...

The main causes of liver damage are:
1. Sleeping too late and waking up too late are the main cause.
2. Not urinating in the morning.
3. Too much eating.
4. Skipping breakfast.
5. Consuming too much medication.
6. Consuming too much preservatives, additives, food coloring, and artificial sweetener.
7. Consuming unhealthy cooking oil. As much as possible reduce cooking oil use when frying, which includes even the best cooking oils like olive oil. Do not consume fried foods when you are tired, except if the body is very fit.
8. Consuming overly done foods also add to the burden of liver. Veggies should be eaten raw or cooked 3-5 parts. Fried veggies should be finished in one sitting, do not store.

We just have to adopt a good daily lifestyle and eating habits. Maintaining good eating habits and time condition are very important for our body to absorb and get rid of unnecessary chemicals according to 'schedule.'

Because: Evening at 9 - 11pm : is the time for eliminating unnecessary/ toxic chemicals (de-toxification) from the antibody system (lymph nodes). This time duration should be spent by relaxing or listening to music. If during this time a housewife is still in an unrelaxed state such as washing the dishes or monitoring children doing their homework, this will have a negative impact on her health.

Evening at 11pm - 1am : The de-toxification process in the liver, and ideally should be done in a deep sleep state. Early morning 1 - 3am : de-toxification process in the gall, also ideally done in a deep sleep state.

Early morning 3 - 5am : de-toxification in the lungs. Therefore there will sometimes be a severe cough for cough sufferers during this time. Since the de-toxification process had reached the respiratory tract, there is no need to take cough medicine so as not to interfere with toxin removal process.
Morning 5 - 7am : de-toxification in the colon, you should empty your bowel.

Morning 7 - 9am : Absorption of nutrients in the small intestine, you should be having breakfast at this time. Breakfast should be earlier, before 6:30am, for those who are sick. Breakfast before 7:30am is very beneficial to those wanting to stay fit. Those who always skip breakfast, they should change their habits, and it is still better to eat breakfast late until 9 -10am rather than no meal at all. Sleeping so late and waking up too late will disrupt the process of removing unnecessary chemicals. Aside from that, midnight to 4am is the time when the bone marrow produces blood.

Therefore, have a good sleep and don't sleep late.

Joke Time!

In surgery for a heart attack, a middle-aged woman has a vision of God by her bedside.
‘’will I die?’’ she asks.
God says, ‘’No. You have 30 more years to live.’’
With 30 years to look forward to, she decides to make the best of it.
So since she’s in the hospital, she gets breast implants, liposuction, a tummy tuck, hair transplants, and collagen injections in her lips. She looks great!
The day she’s discharged, she exits the hospital with a swagger, crosses the street, and is immediately hit by an ambulance and killed.
Up in heaven, she sees God.
‘’You said I had 30 more years to live, ’’she complains.’’
‘’That’s true,’’ says God.
‘’So what happened? ’’
God shrugs. ‘’I didn’t recognize you.’’

..REFLECTIONS..

If You were to compare yourself to an object, What would it be?

What would I be? Well, I could be a tree because I am supported by my roots and never forget my background. I could also be a sign for a crossroad because I never know what direction my life is taking me.
Nevertheless, the object I find myself very similar to is a clock. I like to compare myself to a clock. Yes, a clock, an inanimate object, and I an exuberant person.
You might be thinking, what is there to compare? Well, like the clock my life keeps ticking, ticking, ticking and moving forward with no winding back.
My life keeps moving in circles like the way time passes, and comes back to the same place to start a new day. Like the clock, I have different faces, and would like to look at my past, wish I could pause moments in my present, and am anxious to fast forward to my future. With all this said, neither a human nor a clock can go back, pause, or move ahead, for all is in God’s hands.
I am like the clock. My past is filled with memories, I am living my present, and await my future. It is the choices I make that will determine the path life will take me. Like a clock, I will keep ticking, remembering the past, living the moments of the present, and oblivions to the future until my battery dies.

REPOST -old post ko sa deleted blog ko.

Salam!
Peace be with you…
Have a nice day to all the readers na naligaw sa blog ko. I have no experience in writing, but I wanted to share what I have in my mind and in my heart. I don’t know what to write or what topic to begin. Pasensya na po mga pipol. Please try to understand and feel free to give comments on whatever you read that is incorrect in my writing. I just want to share my experience in United Arab Emirates.

Abudhabi. Abudhabi. Abudhabi. – the capital city of United Arab Emirates. A country that is already part of my life. A country that is hard to forget. This place, their tradition (like wearing kandura and sharwal, that I like to wear in the house cos its very comfortable), the smells of their coffee (or qahwa) and the sights and sounds (their music) gets into my soul.
When I came here to work, year 1989. It is usually like adventure to me. I don’t know what is waiting for me in this strange place. In my first day, week, months and years here, there are too much adjustments, hardship and long struggles. But the days pass without noticing that I already completed my first contract (two years contract) and more and more years completed, with tears, sweat and blood. My only inspiration is my mother and brothers and sisters that are still young when I plan to work here. Due to economic crisis and poverty and man-made calamity, I grab the opportunity to work abroad, far from my loved ones. I carry all the responsibilities I shouldn’t be. And now, after almost two decades of working in the house of Emirati family as a nanny/tutor/alalay, I’m leaving AbuDhabi this July 2009. I’m having a mixed feelings. You know, it has been the most rewarding job for me. I’m generous in nature and of course have a little bit of frugality, kaya medyo nakaipon din for future.. Alhamdulillah! That’s the main reason why I got a guts to exit and stay for good in my own country.
People keep asking me if I’ll be coming back, I don’t see myself coming back anytime soon. But as they say, ‘’never say never’’. I wouldn’t have to resign if it were not for family reasons.
It has been very beneficial living in another country and being able to interact with so many different people from other cultures.
Missing??
I will miss shopping, buying fancy things, mga burloloy....lol. I will miss the malls, you can go to marina mall, wahda mall, khalidiya mall or abudhabi mall and old souks with many small shops and interesting things to look at. Go wild with shopping. Shopping is a national sport in UAE. Every week, malls here find a reason for having promotion (“Sale” in our lingo). Change of season promotion, Ramadan sale, Summer Festival, Clearance promotion or what the heck lets have promotion. Shopping festivals surely turns all malls into hives of activities and attract thousands of bargain hunters. There is surely something for everyone. And there is an added bonus – there are all sorts of prizes to be won from Hummer to Lezus, Electronic items to kilos and kilos of Gold.
I will miss the shawarma (a sandwich with beef or chicken wrap up of lebnani bread, priced 4dirhams for chicken and 4.50dirhams for the beef), hahaha! So delicious indeed..

I will miss the home delivery.. if you need something in the mini-market,they are ready to deliver it. No minimum amount required. From noodles to bread, mineral water (masafi), pepsicola, meron pang chippy (the peborit snack of pinoy)… and if you want to charge your cellphone, they will send you load (like sa atin na pasaload) and pay later...atbpa!
I will miss the abudhabi corniche, its nice to walk briskly or jog or ride a bicycle in the winter. You can go to the open beach, but now there’s an entry fee not like before the past years. With the view of high rise building and flats on one side and sea on the other side, the effect is quite spectacular. Watching sun sets over Emirates Palace is a romantic and blissful way to end an afternoon.
I will miss the sightseeing sa al-ain, going to wadi and jabal hafeet (the highest peak in UAE) and the green mubazarrah and the al-ain zoo. Sa sharjah, kumakain sa gilid ng buhaira. Maglibot sa dubai, joy-riding and malling, our favourite is Ibn Battuta mall and Deira city centre. Going to the beach of Fujairah. Mountains of Ras Al khaimah. Halos nalibot ko din ang United Arab Emirates in my long years of stay here.
I will miss the house at bada-zayed, in the western region. We spend our weekends there. The desert/sand dunes of liwa, the farm of locals and where you can see many trees of Dates and camels.

But most of all, I will miss the people with whom I had the privilege to work. I will certainly miss them. They are so kind and generous, they are my second family here..The Al-Hameli family of Zayed Town, Abudhabi, UAE.
In the two decades of my life here in UAE, I’ve met different people whom I can say I became friends with and became part of my life.
I want them to remember me with these simple thoughts –a strong woman, one who loves deeply, brings joy to everyone and a person who is emotional when it comes to my family, and who believes that ‘’Allah always guides and protects’’.

She's so CUTE.. Mashallah!

A Gift from God

Happiness… Where can we seek this magical feeling…?
I need it to stop my tormented heart from bleeding…
I need it to let me go back to my innocent dreaming…

They say that it’s a gift that is hard to obtain…
Well someone please talk to me and the reasons explain…
Why can’t I just feel it as before and flow in it once again…?

This is what I know about that legend called happiness…
It is a feeling of joy and great brightness…
It is a feeling of peace and enormous silence…

It is when your soul is always in that protected place…
It is the innocent look in your baby’s face…
It is the touch of love and the desire to fill that space…

It is more than just materialistic assets…
It is when you always reach that invisible essence…
It is when you sense that angels are always in presence…

It is when you feel that you can touch the sky…
It is when you believe that it’s not a shame to cry…
It is those feelings that you can’t deny…

It is more than just a simple feeling…
It is when you create the light in the heart of darkness…
I’m just a small star in that enormous sky of happiness…

I didn’t experience yet what makes me give its gladness…
I hope that one day I’ll be able to attain that myth called happiness..
